Kali and I wish you all a very happy and healthy Thanksgiving and a start to the holiday season. Thanksgiving is a time to remember and, if possible, to reexperience the aspects of life for which we are truly grateful.
I encourage you to reflect on how our experience of gratitude can impact your mental health. Gratitude creates humility, and humility challenges complacency. Explore the changes you are making in your life. Be an active, judgment-free participant in your mental health exploration. It is a powerful experience to let go of our thinking and emotions and embrace what we honestly believe.
Introspection on a holiday may be challenging due to family, friends, football, and food. Carve out some time for yourself (Yes. Pun intended!). Take 5 deep breaths through your nose. Give yourself permission to let go of tension. And let yourself be still; Guilt, depression, and anxiety-free. A day of remembrance can reverberate for days, weeks, months, and years, leading one to grow in the unknown of life. It is in the unknown that we begin to truly learn who we are, as well as the realm of processing and healing.
If you are interested in exploring your mental health further, Northern Woods Wellness LLC is here to help. Feel free to call/text us at 715-600-1966.
Stay safe and Happy Thanksgiving! Go on with your bad selves, and keep gratitude in mind!
Sincerely,
Tim
